Call of Duty Mobile’s 2025 esports season introduces a $1 million prize pool, two competitive divisions, and six global regions—including Africa. Here’s everything you need to know about the format, dates, and rewards.
Call of Duty Mobile is set to elevate its competitive scene with a massive overhaul for the 2025 esports season, unveiling a brand-new structure, expanded global reach, and an impressive $1 million prize pool (~£785,690). For the first time in its history, the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship will feature two distinct competitive divisions—Legendary and Open—designed to create a more balanced and inclusive playing field.
The Legendary Division will showcase elite players from the Legendary and Grandmaster ranks, delivering top-tier competition at the highest level. Meanwhile, the Open Division welcomes all other ranks, giving a wider base of players a shot at glory. Open Division participants can look forward to exclusive CoD Points and FACEIT Points as rewards for their progress throughout the early stages of the competition.

One of the most significant changes this year is the expansion of regions. Africa will now join North America, Europe, India, Latin America (LATAM), and Japan in making up the six official competitive regions. This broadens the global footprint of CoD Mobile esports and ensures more international representation.
The action kicks off on April 25th with Stage 1, where players must earn enough ranked points to advance. Those who qualify move on to Stage 2 beginning June 4th, where players will compete as ranked teams. Stage 2 marks the endpoint of the Open Division, with only top-tier players from this phase moving forward into the higher levels of competition.
Stage 3 narrows the field significantly, with 64 teams per region battling it out for one of 16 spots in the Stage 3 Finals. From there, the top eight teams in each region advance to Stage 4 on July 26th. This stage features GSL-style group play in best-of-five matchups, with the top two teams from each group proceeding to the Stage 4 Finals.

Teams that reach Stage 4 and beyond will earn a share of the $1 million prize pool, although exact distribution details are still to be announced. The final leg of the competition includes a double-elimination playoff bracket to determine the ultimate 2025 CoD Mobile World Champion.
Last year’s championship, held at DreamHack Atlanta in the Georgia World Congress Center, saw Elevate, a Philippine-American squad, emerge victorious with a $400,000 (~£313,857) prize. The upcoming season aims to build on that success with higher stakes, broader access, and a more refined competitive structure.
With more rewards, clearer paths for amateur and elite players, and expanded regional inclusion, Call of Duty Mobile’s 2025 esports season is shaping up to be its biggest and most inclusive yet. The countdown to glory begins April 25th—lock and load.
