The Clash Royale League 2025 introduces a fresh format with a focus on community events, leaderboard points, and more Golden Tickets, leading to a thrilling 12-player World Finals showdown later this year.
Supercell has officially revealed the Clash Royale League (CRL) 2025 season, and it’s more community-driven than ever before. With a reworked format, increased opportunities to qualify for the World Finals, and direct involvement from competitive organizations, this year’s league is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in CRL history.
The 2025 CRL format centers on a new structure that allows a broader range of players to compete for a spot at the prestigious CRL World Finals, set to take place at the end of the year. Though the exact date and location remain under wraps, anticipation is high for what promises to be a highly competitive, globally watched event.

This season introduces four major community-organized Golden Ticket Events. These are hosted by well-known organizations deeply embedded in the Clash Royale esports scene. Each of these tournaments offers a $50,000 (~£37,000) prize pool and, most importantly, a Golden Ticket; an automatic qualification for the World Finals. To reach the finals of each event, players must first be among the top 1,000 in the Path of Legends (PoL) during the season, then succeed in the Event Qualifiers, and finally place first in the Event Finals.
Beyond these events, leaderboard points return as a critical element of the competitive season. Players can begin earning points starting from Day 2 of each event qualifier. These points contribute to the CRL Leaderboard, which will award six more Golden Tickets to top-ranking players by the season’s end.
For those who narrowly miss out, there’s still hope. The Last Chance Qualifier gives players a final opportunity to punch their ticket to the World Finals. This event will feature the four runners-up from the Golden Ticket Events and the next eight best performers on the leaderboard (positions 7th–14th). Each of these twelve players receives a Silver Ticket, granting access to the final qualifying event, where one last Golden Ticket will be awarded.

To complete the 12-player lineup for the CRL 2025 World Finals, one additional Golden Ticket will come from a China-exclusive tie-in event. This international approach underscores CRL’s continued commitment to global competition and player diversity.
Here’s a breakdown of the Golden Ticket distribution:
- 4 from Golden Ticket Events
- 6 from the CRL Leaderboard
- 1 from the Last Chance Qualifier
- 1 from the China Tie-in Event
The CRL 2025 World Finals will feature these twelve elite players in a climactic battle for the championship title.
The 2024 World Finals, which saw Mohamed ‘Mohamed Light’ Tarek claim his second world title, drew peak viewership numbers of 141,777, setting the bar high for this year’s finale. As CRL 2025 unfolds, fans can expect intense action, fresh faces, and high stakes at every stage.
With a format that blends top-tier competition and community engagement, Clash Royale League 2025 is on track to be a defining season in mobile esports.
