Delta Force kicks off its esports journey with the $500,000 Delta Force Invitational (DFI), featuring global qualifiers, a Grand Finals in China, and a roadmap including an Elite Invitational and Global League Season 3.
Delta Force, the upcoming free-to-play FPS from TiMi Studio Group and Team Jade, is officially entering the esports scene with the announcement of the Delta Force Invitational (DFI). The inaugural tournament, described by the developers as “the ultimate esports tournament,” is scheduled to take place this September in China, signaling a bold entry into the competitive FPS landscape.
The DFI boasts a massive $500,000 (~£373,215) prize pool, which will be split between regional qualifiers and the Grand Finals. While the exact date and location of the finals are yet to be confirmed, the tournament structure has already begun to take shape. Open qualifier registrations are currently live and will remain open until July 27, 2025.
Teams from eight global regions, including Europe, North America, Japan, and Korea, are eligible to enter the qualifiers. According to Delta Force’s official social media channels, more than 1,000 teams have already signed up, highlighting strong global interest. The qualifiers are scheduled to run from August 2 to August 16, offering a $10,000 (~£7,467) prize pool and a chance to earn a coveted spot in the Grand Finals. Twelve teams from each region will qualify for the main event, though some teams are expected to receive direct invites; details of which have not yet been disclosed.

The DFI is only one part of a larger esports roadmap for the second half of 2025. TiMi Studio Group and Team Jade have revealed additional competitive plans, including an Elite Invitational on July 26, followed by Season 3 of the Delta Force Global League in October. These events are designed to establish a sustainable esports ecosystem for Delta Force, providing both amateur and professional players multiple entry points into international competition.
Delta Force’s esports push comes alongside the game’s console launch on August 19, suggesting a coordinated effort to maximize its global player base. With established titles like Counter-Strike 2, Rainbow Six Siege, and Call of Duty dominating the shooter esports scene, Delta Force faces a steep climb. However, TiMi Studio’s proven track record in mobile and multiplayer titles, combined with substantial prize support and structured events, gives the game a strong starting foundation.
As the competitive shooter genre continues to grow, the success of the Delta Force Invitational could be a decisive moment in determining the game’s esports potential. Whether it can capture a loyal audience and rival its genre counterparts remains to be seen, but with a clear roadmap and high-stakes competition, Delta Force is making an ambitious first move.
