The FIFAe Finals are set to return in 2025 and 2026, hosted in Riyadh. Featuring Rocket League and eFootball on mobile and console, the event promises intense international competition and wider global accessibility.

FIFAe has announced that its season-ending esports spectacle, the FIFAe Finals, will be hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for both the 2025 and 2026 editions. Taking place from December 10th to 19th, 2025, the finals will determine the world champions across three premier events: FIFAe featuring Rocket League, and FIFAe World Cups for eFootball on console and mobile.

The tournament continues to evolve in both scope and accessibility. In 2025, eFootball competitions will expand to include more national teams, offering a broader competitive platform. Konami, the developer of eFootball, has also confirmed that both mobile and console events will use open qualification systems. These qualifiers are expected to last several months and include local and regional activations, allowing a more diverse range of players and nations to participate in the international spotlight.

Each tournament format is designed to bring out the best of competitive football esports. In the eFootball console and mobile tournaments, 11 nations from regional qualifiers will join the host nation, Saudi Arabia, for the group stage. The top eight from this stage will advance to the knockout rounds, ultimately deciding the world champion. Meanwhile, the Rocket League competition will feature 16 qualified teams competing in a group phase followed by a single-elimination bracket.

The return to Riyadh builds upon the success of the 2024 FIFAe Finals, which saw impressive viewership milestones. According to Esports Charts, the console eFootball tournament peaked at 422,245 viewers, the mobile competition at 77,222, and Rocket League at 276,319. These numbers not only reflect the growing popularity of FIFAe events but also reinforce Riyadh’s position as an emerging global esports hub.

The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) will once again serve as the presenting partner of the event, continuing its collaboration with FIFA. This partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Vision 2030 initiative, a national strategy aimed at economic diversification and increased investment in digital and cultural sectors, including esports.

Christian Volk, Director of eFootball and Gaming at FIFA, expressed enthusiasm for the ongoing expansion of the event:

“The fan feedback after last year’s event was incredible and confirmed our vision to provide a home for football esports to a range of different communities. Onboarding free-to-play titles and confirming the event for two seasons are significant steps on our journey to facilitate accessibility for nations and players around the world.”

While prize pool details for all three tournaments remain under wraps, expectations are high that they will match the growing scale and prestige of the event. With a multi-title format, global qualifiers, and a world-class hosting venue, the FIFAe Finals 2025 and 2026 are shaping up to be landmark moments in the global esports calendar.
