Team Vitality dominates Counter-Strike 2 with five consecutive titles, a 25-match unbeaten streak, and top spot in Valve’s global rankings after a thrilling BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 victory.
Team Vitality continues its dominant run in Counter-Strike 2, claiming its fifth consecutive tournament victory by defeating Team Falcons in a dramatic grand final at BLAST Rivals Spring 2025. The win cements their position at the top of Valve’s Regional Standings (VRS), extends their unbeaten streak to 25 matches, and solidifies their reputation as the most formidable team in the current CS2 landscape.
The BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 grand final, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, was a five-map thriller that saw Vitality edge out Falcons 3-2. The maps included Inferno (13-9 to Falcons), Dust II (13-6 to Vitality), Train (13-6 to Vitality), Mirage (16-14 OT to Falcons), and Nuke (13-8 to Vitality). Vitality’s ZywOo led the charge with 90 kills and a +24 kill-death differential, securing his 25th career MVP title, an all-time record in Counter-Strike history. Teammate ropz also shone with 91 kills and a +23 differential. For Falcons, m0NESY delivered a standout performance with 92 kills, including a clutch 1v2 play on Mirage that helped push the match to a deciding map.

The win earned Vitality $125,000 from the event’s $350,000 prize pool, while Falcons took home $75,000 after back-to-back finals losses to the French powerhouse, first at IEM Melbourne 2025, and now at BLAST Rivals. Vitality’s current roster, which includes ZywOo, ropz, apEX, flameZ, and mezii, has proven nearly unstoppable since the addition of ropz in January 2025. Their recent dominance also secured them a $1 million Grand Slam bonus for winning four elite-tier events in succession.
From a viewership standpoint, BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 was a monumental success. According to Esports Charts, the event peaked at 1,037,291 concurrent viewers, making it the second most popular BLAST Premier event to date, only behind the BLAST.tv Paris Major. Notably, the fourth map of the grand final alone attracted over 1 million viewers, highlighting the increasing global interest in competitive Counter-Strike.

As of the May 5th Valve Regional Standings update, Team Vitality sits firmly atop the global rankings with 2,117 points, 247 points ahead of second-place MOUZ. Their continued success places them as a top contender for future invites, including the inaugural FISSURE Playground event in Serbia, where the top 16 teams will compete for a $425,000 prize pool.
The Counter-Strike esports calendar remains packed, with IEM Dallas (May 19–25) and the BLAST.tv Austin Major (June 2–22) on the horizon. Vitality will participate in both, aiming to extend their streak and add more silverware to an already remarkable season.
While Vitality and Falcons will skip the upcoming PGL Astana 2025 (May 10–18), top-tier teams like Natus Vincere, The MongolZ, and Team Spirit will battle it out, keeping fans entertained in what is shaping up to be one of the most competitive years in Counter-Strike history.
