Call of Duty world champion Dillon ‘Attach’ Price announces his retirement after 11 years of pro play. From becoming the youngest world champ to his next steps, here’s a look at his journey.

Dillon ‘Attach’ Price, one of the most iconic players in Call of Duty esports history, has officially announced his retirement from professional play after an illustrious 11-year career. The 2015 world champion revealed the news in an emotional post on X (formerly Twitter), reflecting on his journey from a passionate teenager to a respected veteran in the competitive scene.

“After 11 years of professional Call of Duty, it’s my time to hang the jersey up,” Attach wrote. “The first moment I played this game, I instantly fell in love… It was my dream to become a professional player.” That dream became reality in historic fashion when he made headlines at just 18 years old by becoming the youngest-ever Call of Duty World Champion, winning the 2015 Championship with Denial eSports in Los Angeles—a career-defining moment that cemented his place in the esports record books.

Throughout his career, Attach competed under several high-profile organizations including FaZe Clan, Minnesota RØKKR, and most recently Cloud9 New York. His longevity in the scene saw him participate in nearly every Call of Duty title released since Ghosts, showcasing incredible adaptability and consistency across changing metas and team structures.

While his 2015 championship remains his crowning achievement, Attach continued to impress in the years that followed. Notable highlights include a first-place finish at the CDL 2021 Stage 5 Major with Minnesota RØKKR, and top-three finishes at both the CDL 2023 Stage 2 and Stage 5 Majors. His last competitive appearance came in April 2025, at the Call of Duty League 2025: Stage 3 Major, where Cloud9 New York fell to FaZe Atlanta in a 0-3 defeat.

Despite stepping away from competition, Attach expressed deep gratitude to his fans, teammates, and the wider Call of Duty community. “The fact that I was able to live out my childhood dream and meet so many amazing people along the way will be something I cherish for life,” he said. “To everyone who showed up to tournaments, tuned into streams, and supported the competitive scene—thank you. Without you, none of this is possible.”

As for what comes next, Attach has not confirmed his future plans, but many fans anticipate a pivot to full-time content creation and streaming. With over 334,000 YouTube subscribers and 256,000 Twitch followers, he already has a strong platform to continue engaging with the Call of Duty community in new and creative ways.

“I’ve had the honour of winning a world championship and earning multiple pieces of the pie throughout the years,” Attach concluded. “Now, I’m ready to take a leap of faith and embrace new challenges as I move into the next chapter of my journey.”

With his legacy firmly secured, Attach steps away from the pro scene as a beloved figure—an inspiration to aspiring players and a symbol of excellence in competitive Call of Duty.
